DIY Golden Tonic for Joint Pain and Inflammation

As the weather turns colder, many struggle with increased joint pain and inflammation. If you’re always on the move, this can hold you back from living the life you’ve always dreamt of. There are many over-the-counter remedies for joint pain and inflammation, but none have been found to address the root cause of inflammation. Did you know that a large amount of inflammation can be reduced through simple ingredients found in your kitchen? And, you can start incorporating these ingredients by making our DIY Golden Tonic for Joint Pain and Inflammation.

This simple recipe uses a blend of anti-inflammatory spices to soothe the body, making it easier to get up and go. With a touch of honey, this remedy is not only effective but totally delicious.

If you’re on a tight budget, you’ll appreciate our DIY Golden Tonic, which is full of frugal herbs that are found in most grocery stores.

Have we caught your attention yet? If so, let’s dive in!

Why Do We Experience Joint Pain?

Everyone experiences joint pain at some time or another, but why does this ailment occur? Often, joint pain is a symptom that accompanies another condition, such as arthritis or osteoporosis.  In these cases, joint pain is caused by cartilage damage that makes the joints grind.

Another common reason for joint pain is inflammation, which leads to swelling and soreness. Chronic inflammation affects over 34% of American adults and can be brought on by a series of environmental factors like air quality and poor diet. Sports injuries are also a pain point, leaving lasting effects long after the incident took place.

Some find themselves in pain due to autoimmune conditions, which cause the body to see itself as a threat and attack joints and muscles. All of these situations (and more!) lead to inflammation, a leading contributor to joint pain.

While there’s no quick fix, anti-inflammatory ingredients are a proven remedy that has helped many people get back on the horse.

But here’s the thing—joint pain isn’t just about popping a pill and hoping for the best. Tackling it from all angles is key to real relief.

Whether you’re dealing with arthritis, osteoporosis, or autoimmune conditions like Graves’ Disease, Hashimoto’s, Crohn’s, Lupus, or psoriasis—or just looking for ways to incorporate anti-inflammatory habits into your daily life—there’s so much more you can do to take control of your health.

What’s the best way to start? Knowing exactly what to focus on each morning, throughout the day, and before bed can make a world of difference. Don’t leave it to chance—having the right plan in place is the first step toward finally feeling like yourself again. Here’s the guide I’m talking about.

Feel Great With Our DIY Golden Tonic for Joint Pain and Inflammation

Whether you’re dealing with the occasional achy day or persistent pain, adding this DIY Golden Tonic for Joint Pain and Inflammation will be extremely beneficial.

Like any good habit, consistency is key, and you’ll find that the more you consume this tonic, the better you’ll feel.

After much research, we chose each ingredient to work synergistically with the others for optimal health. Here’s a breakdown of each ingredient and what it can do for your body.

Turmeric: This golden spice contains a compound called cu rcumin, a proven anti-inflammatory agent. If you prefer remedies that are budget-friendly, you’ll love turmeric, which is available at most grocery stores.

Black Pepper: Anytime you use turmeric in a remedy, you should also include a pinch of black pepper. Black pepper reacts with turmeric in such a way that it increases its efficiency.

On its own, black pepper contains piperine, which can also lower inflammation and improve other symptoms of chronic disease. Some prefer mixing turmeric and black pepper together so they can include it in their breakfast scrambles and salad dressings.

Stinging Nettle: Though I won’t include this powerful plant in the recipe below, I use it frequently as a standalone remedy. What fascinates me most is how our American ancestors relied on nettles to treat swelling and inflammation in a rather unconventional—and, dare I say, painful—manner. They would gently slap or brush fresh nettle leaves against the affected area of the skin.

Why? The tiny stinging hairs on the leaves release compounds like histamine, formic acid, and serotonin, which cause temporary irritation. This irritation boosts blood flow to the area, potentially easing deeper inflammation and pain.

Now, I know—it sounds brutal, and as a child, I experienced it firsthand. My grandmother used this method, and it was anything but pleasant. Still, those moments left me with a deep respect for nettle’s potency and versatility.

Nowadays, I take a gentler approach! Instead of the sting, I turn to Stinging Nettle Tincture for its benefits. I use it both internally and topically to manage seasonal arthritis and even combat allergies. It’s a testament to how nature provides us with remedies that are as effective as they are time-tested.

Ginger: Recent studies have shown that ginger is particularly effective at combating the effects of osteoarthritis. Ginger is also anti-diabetic and anti-cancer, making it a total powerhouse. You can add a dash to your smoothies, stir-fries, or baked goods.

Cinnamon: This warm spice is among the most commonly used, but few people know what benefits it has. Some studies suggest that consuming cinnamon can be a great preventative treatment for inflammation-inducing diseases.

Honey: Let’s be honest, a tonic with this many spices needs a hint of sweetness to make it work. Honey is an amazing natural sweetener that won’t add to inflammation. For extra medicinal benefits, use Manuka honey or raw local honey.

If you’re like me and arthritis symptoms are already present in your daily activities (sore joints, joint pain, body aches…) don’t worry. I’ve got your back!

I found some time ago a soothing blend that relieved me from knee pain in minutes! It’s anti-inflammatory and famous for alleviating arthritis pain. I’ll leave a link for you HERE to check out the most powerful natural Joint & Movement Bundle. The salve and tinctures that boost its effect.

How to Use DIY Golden Tonic for Joint Pain and Inflammation

If you don’t have the time, the tools, or the place where you can source your ingredients, you can purchase the same salve from here. It’s made by one of America’s top herbalists, and all the herbs in it are either wild-harvested or organically grown – which not a lot of supplements can claim!

The Joint & Movement Salve might just become one of the most sought-after remedies once a crisis strikes, pharmacies get looted, and hospitals overcrowded. We recommend drinking this tonic every day, but it’s best to start slow to see how your body reacts. Try drinking it in the morning to set yourself up for a day of success or at night to soothe aching joints. If your body is responding well to the remedy, you can increase to two drinks a day, one in the morning and one at night.

Picture this: you’re walking outside, surrounded by nature, and suddenly you realize… you’re standing in a pharmacy, but not the kind with fluorescent lights and rows of bottles. No, this is the real pharmacy. You look around, and there it is—the exact remedy you need, growing right before your eyes. Sounds like a dream, right? It’s not. It’s absolutely possible!

I love these news letters to keep my head in the game in my own practice and read them daily, but from time to time you miss some important information. Black pepper does help increase the bioavailability of turmeric, but the constituents in tumeric need some sort of fatty substance to be absorbed through your digestive tract. I personally use coconut oil. Using water instead greatly decreases the absorption of tumeric’s constituents through the GI tract, which can leave some people thinking that it is ineffective.
