  • 25g Chamomile ( Matricaria Chamomilla)
  • 15g White Flowering Yarrow ( Achillea Millefolium)
  • 120ml (4oz) Local Raw Honey
DIY Appetite Booster Instructions
  1. Measure out 15 g of dried Yarrow, and 25g of dried Chamomile and add them to a high-speed blender or grinder.  Measure and set aside 120ml  (4oz) of honey. AppetiteBooster - Step One
  2. Grind your herbs into a fine powder. You can also use mortar and pestle. AppetiteBooster - Step 2
  3. Sieve the powdered Chamomile and Yarrow to remove larger pieces.
  4. You may need to run the powder through the sieve more than once depending on the nature and quality of your plant material. AppetiteBooster - Step 3
  5. Set aside the larger, rougher pieces to be used in a tea or for compost. Your finely sieved powder is ready for the next step.
  6. Slowly incorporate the fine Yarrow and Chamomile powder into the honey.  AppetiteBooster - Step 4
  7. Mix it thoroughly till it forms a thick paste of herb-saturated honey. This is your appetite-boosting electuary ready, it is so simple!
  8. Decant the mixture into an airtight jar ready for use and storage. AppetiteBooster - Step 5
Suggested Use and Dosage  

The suggested dosage for this electuary is:

  • Adults: +- 1/3rd teaspoon
  • Children above 2 years old: +- 1/6th of a teaspoon or less depending on the age of the child

This formula may be taken as you need it. You may take it daily with a 1-week pause from the remedy every 3 weeks. It is always a good idea to pay attention to how your body responds while taking the herbs and when not taking them. Every person is unique, and herbs can affect each of us differently. You simply can eat the paste off the spoon as needed, or portion it accordingly into pastilles. Store it in a tightly sealed jar, in a cool area. Electuaries can last for up to 1 year when stored in the fridge. Please avoid getting water or contaminants into your jar and use a clean spoon each time you take a dose.
