Cabbage Natural Remedy

Anti-Inflammatory Socks

Do you know what happens when you wrap your feet in cabbage leaves?

This is a little-known trick that our grandparents have been using for years.

They don’t go to the pharmacy to get synthetic anti-inflammatory drugs.

They don’t trust something they haven’t grown and made in their own kitchens.

So why should you?

A Time-Tested Method To Alleviate Inflammation and Joint Pain

Adding herbs and plants to your socks as you go on about your day might seem strange to the modern man, but it’s something our forefathers used to do on a regular basis, especially after a hard day’s work or if they got hurt.

Cabbage

Cabbage contains several beneficial compounds that can help fight this unwanted inflammation.

When you chop or chew raw cabbage, cabbage releases vitamin C and glucosinolates, which get broken down into active compounds that can inhibit your inflammatory pathways and reduce the production of pro-inflammatory molecules.

Anthocyanins are pigments that give some types of cabbage their purple color. They are strong antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation by stopping the enzymes that cause it.

Additionally, cabbage is packed with dietary fiber, which can maintain a healthy gut microbiome and prevent chronic inflammation and other associated diseases, if taken internally.

If you want to target internal inflammation, you can also make a cabbage-based remedy.

Red Cabbage Juice

✔ One method would be to chop red cabbage and let it simmer in distilled water for 20-30 minutes. The deeper the purple, the more concentrated your concoction will be.

✔ Strain the content with a cheesecloth or a strainer. You can add lemon juice for short-term use or short-term glycerin for long-term storage.

✔ Start with a teaspoon each morning and night, and up the dosage depending on how your body is handling it.

Mullein

Mullein PlantMullein is a plant that grows tall, usually in open fields, in the city, and even on the side of the road. It might be growing in your backyard right now and you don’t even know it. The photo I attached is from my backyard!

Your grandmother and her grandmother before her probably treasured mullein because it was always used when they wanted to kill their pain with a quick remedy. While every single part of the plant is medicinal, its leaves are the ones you should really be interested in.

Mullein contains saponins; these work like a natural detergent that can help clean out your body of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The flavonoids help de-activate pro-inflammatory enzymes. Lastly, the mucilage in mullein has a soothing, emollient quality which can help your irritated tissues and provide you with relief.

Combining mullein leaves with cabbage leaves is a great idea to get relief from inflammation in minutes. The leaves can help with pain, swelling, overall discomfort in the feet, making it a natural remedy for ailments like arthritis, plantar fasciitis, or general foot fatigue. Both plants have soft leaves, and mullein’s are particularly fuzzy, so you’ll get that comfortable, cushioning effect not many shoes or insoles can offer.

Rub This On Your Swollen Feet & Joints (Instant Effect!)

Mullein also has antimicrobial properties, working to prevent any fungal infections that might find their way to your feet. It’s also a good way to prevent infections in any minor cuts, blisters or other skin irritations you might be dealing with.

Whether you might be dealing with chronic conditions or you’re just looking for a natural way to soothe your tired feet, this is the perfect gentle, yet highly effective solution.

You will need:
  • Fresh Mullein Leaves: 4-6 large leaves (washed and patted dry)
  • Green Cabbage Leaves: 2-4 large leaves (washed)
  • Gauze bandage or socks: Large enough to comfortably secure around your foot and ankle
  • Plastic wrap

How to Make Your Own Anti-Inflammatory Socks

First, you wash the mullein and cabbage leaves thoroughly, and pat them dry. Place them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to chill them.

Cabbage On FeetTo assemble the foot socks, you gently wrap the leaves around your feet, making sure they feel comfortable. You can secure them into place with plastic wrap. Then, you put on your socks, so they completely cover the leaves. To encourage lymphatic drainage and help with the swelling, I suggest putting your feet up on a wall and resting like that for 10 minutes.

I learned about these plants and how to make my own remedies with them from The Lost Remedies Academy.

This is a series of classes that covers almost all ailments under the sun, as well as plants and their medicinal properties, but most importantly – how to prepare them to manage your health naturally.

My job requires me to stand up and run around all day – so I really don’t know what I could’ve done without this remedy. I don’t trust the pills my doctor told me to take, and I really can’t afford expensive foot massages, not in this economy, so this was the perfect fix for me!

Here’s a list of some other remedies I learned how to make that I think you would also like:

Diploma Elizabeth Jones I finished it in 2 weeks – and look at this beautiful diploma that I received! Now that I’m a certified herbalist, I can’t wait to prepare remedies for me, my family, friends, and just help people that taking care of your health doesn’t have to involve something that’s made in a lab. Real medicine comes from nature.

I checked and there are still some spots available for this summer session – from what I understand, the Academy will close again soon until each student graduates. I’ll leave you the discount link I used to enroll here.

Wishing you the best of health!
