Exercise

It’s not so important what exercise you do, simple that you are active. So whether it is taking a daily walk or doing thirty minutes of yoga, studies have shown that daily exercise can improve your hearing.

Turmeric

It is thought that the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant qualities of curcumin are part of what contributes to turmeric’s benefits to our hearing. Turmeric is also high in potassium, which is essential for our ears to be healthy. As we get older the amount of potassium in our bodies naturally drops. You can boost this by consuming more turmeric in your diet.
In the same family as ginger, both are rhizomes, which means that the fleshy rootlike part is what is consumed in foods and medicines. Not a small plant, the leaves can grow to be three feet tall. It produces a lovely flower that is usually a greenish-white color but occasionally is pink. While turmeric thrives in hot jungle climates don’t despair if you live somewhere that experiences frost. It is possible to grow turmeric at home in a container.
How to use: Found in many traditional Indian foods, turmeric is responsible for the distinctive yellow color in curries. What’s great is that no matter how you choose to add turmeric to your diet it will help improve your hearing. It can be used fresh or dried as a seasoning in foods. Dried it can be ground and put into capsules. It can be used to make teas, turmeric lattes, and golden milk.
If you are experiencing hearing loss or concern about it for the future don’t despair. But by adding exercise and beneficial herbs to your daily routine, you can improve your ear’s health. This should help improve your hearing and your quality of life.

Such a great article!!
Will these herbs help with ‘brain buzz’? It feels like tinnitus but it’s not. It’s a constant buzzing, sometimes loud, sometimes softer. I think it depends on the intensity of my interest at the time. Doctors don’t find anything.

Mary, I have that exact same symptoms I though was tinnitus, but yes describing it better as a “brain buzz” – much more accurate! I thought it was the EMFs and electrical environment, but I have eliminated all and am wearing scalar pendent for a month without change in the symptoms. So now I am seeing a chiropractor to try to ameliorate the buzzing since so many sensations have an origination in the upper cervical spine. However after reading these herbal suggestions I am looking forward to trying them! Thank you, Nicole! I am a holistic physical therapist and love thinking outside the box. I will keep on thinking positive, hoping and learning!
I have never heard of colloidal vinegar before. what is it and where would you get it?
Hi Katy,
Thank you for your comment.
It was colloidal silver, however that recipe was removed. Before its use in the ear, it is important to do a skin test to check for allergies or to consult with a doctor.
So we weren’t sure about the possible side effects. We will need further research.
We apologize for this.
super. thanks. got your book, but these short important emails are the best.
